The Diamond Casino is one of the best new locations, and cracking this fancy area open with friends is a criminal’s dream. Now you can add another NPC to your crew; a returning friend from GTA4. Packie McReary, the foul-mouthed Irish thug that features in some of the biggest missions of GTA4 returns in GTAO, and you can unlock him for the Diamond Casino Heist.
If you don’t remember Packie, just think back to GTA4. One of the best missions of the game is a bank job gone wrong. Nico, the protagonist, joins a crew of Packie McReary’s brothers as they blast through police barricades and escape the city on-foot. It’s a completely crazy mission, and Packie becomes one of Nico’s closest criminal pals in Liberty City. Now he’s on a vacation to the west coast, and you can grab him for the Diamond Casino Heist. Patrick McReary, Nico Bellic’s old friend from GTA4 is a hidden crewmember you can unlock in GTAO for the Diamond Casino Heist. If you can rescue him, you’ll be able to hire him as an optional NPC heist accomplice — and it’s just nice seeing his ugly mug again.
How To Recruit McReary: You’ll need to encounter a special random overworld event — you’ll see a blue dot on the minimap. Chase the police van and kill the driver, but don’t kill anyone else inside. After freeing Patrick, you’ll need to evade the cops and return to a safehouse. If you manage to rescue Patrick, he’ll be available to join your Diamond Casino Heist crew, and you’ll earn $10,000.
You can find this event in many different locations around Los Santos — usually between 12:00 AM and 7:00 PM. Here’s a quick list of locations he’s been spotted so far.

You’ll unlock the ‘Gunman‘ and ‘All Crewed Up‘ achievement / trophy for saving Packie, and for collecting all the crew members for the Diamond Casino Heist.
Packie is completely optional, but he does have a whole lot to say. He shares plenty of information, and it’s nice just seeing this old character return. This is proof he survived the events of GTA4,
GTA Online players are abuzz this week about a new rumor that suggests the online version of Grand Theft Auto V may be getting a massive update that’ll include a “map expansion” for the game. The current map itself is huge and has plenty to do, but if the rumor plays out like GTA Online players hope it will, it’ll be the first map expansion of this kind that’ll happen in the history of the game. That same update will also reportedly add things like another heist with all that new content sure to keep players busy for a while longer.
The rumor comes way of Rockstar Mag, which claims it's heard the above information from more than one source. Further, it cites the recent GorillazGTA 5 music video, which has since been taken down, and seemingly teased a new island location at the end of it.
Bolstering this claim, Rockstar Mag points out that during its latest earnings call, Take-Two Interactive -- the parent company of Rockstar Games -- and its CEO Strauss Zelnick, told their investors that they are expecting the biggest ever quarter for GTA Online to close out the fiscal year which is running until April 1, 2021. Zelnick doesn't go into detail on why he and Take-Two Interactive are projecting such a huge quarter for the game, but he does tease investors that the game's biggest update is nearing, suggesting this is the reason behind the bold projection.
'Both Grand Theft Auto Online and Red Dead Online will receive major updates later this fiscal year, featuring an extension to existing Frontier Pursuits for Red Dead Online, as well as Grand Theft Auto Online’s biggest update ever, featuring a new take on Heists in a new location,' said Zelnick via Business Wire.

As you can see, Zelnick flat out teases a 'new location' alongside the new Heist and the new update, but many assumed this new location would be something akin to the Diamond Casino, not a proper map expansion. And it may still very well be just this, but according to Rockstar Mag, the map expansion is a big reason why this update is being billed as it is.

For now, Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive haven't disclosed a release date for the update beyond that it will release sometime before this fiscal year ends on April 1, 2021. The current expectation is the game will get a substantial update next month, but it remains to be seen if this will be the 'biggest update ever.'
